John Paul II's "Letter to young people"

John Paul II wrote this Letter for the occasion of the first gathering of young people with him in 1985. It was during this event that John Paul II had the idea of the "World Youth Day".

This Letter has helped me enormously in working with young people. In fact, I have read and pondered this document more than any other. It contains a virtually complete panorama of life from the perspective of the young person. It is the most objective view of life for young people that we have.

I include here a shortened version of the Letter which I recently made. It is about three times shorter than the original and I offer it here in the hope that many more young people will come to discover the riches of Life in Christ to which John Paul II calls young people.
